DIY Sushi

Our first post. It's the sushi version of at home gió cuốn. Olivia is making mini hand rolls with nori paper, raw salmon, rice seasoning with sriracha/mayo sauce. Very easy and tasty.
Not pictured but on the table to roll with are uni, tako, boiled shrimp, tamago and of course sake to wash it all down (not for Olivia of course).
A bit of foie to start

We picked up foie on our last trip to Nevada. It was a pleasant surprise while searching for live seafood. I actually could not believed we found it. They're 2oz precut frozen which made it easy to transport home. Among the few of us, I think we purchased the store inventory. They're very similar to the ones we usually order online from Hudson Valley. My foie stock from this trip is dwindling. So sad, so sad.
One should never complain when there's foie on the table. We enjoying it with a big and bold cab.
